ABOUT PETER COWEN
|
Peter Cowen specializes in helping select growth companies optimize both strategic and financial opportunities. Mr. Cowen assists businesses in the following areas:
- formulating marketing, sales, operational and financial strategy while working closely with the CEO;
- developing investor presentations, including business plans and related material;
- identifying and recruiting, in special cases, key personnel such as management, directors and advisors;
- identifying and developing strategic alliances for marketing, product development and other business initiatives; and
- identifying potential capital sources and assisting in attracting necessary capital.

His firm, Peter Cowen & Associates has assisted over 200 companies primarily in information technology, healthcare, telecommunications, distribution and professional services. In addition to his advisory role, Mr. Cowen has been an active board member for numerous clients. In particular, during the past four years, he has assisted in raising over $50 million for over a dozen small and middle market companies while sitting on eight boards.
Prior to his advisory role, Mr. Cowen co-founded and was head of sales for a computer network company that was sold to a public company. He worked as a marketing associate at Hewlett Packard and Unilever. He founded and chairs the annual UCLA Extension Conference: "Raising Capital for Entrepreneurs, Where to Look and How to Present" and is a member of Tech Coast Angels, the largest Angel funding group in Southern California. Mr. Cowen has an MBA from UCLA in Finance and Marketing and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
